Silence Day at Rimba Jimbaran Bali

Sup guys! It's been awhile.
So last week 31st of March, here in Bali celebrated Silence Day (one of you might have heard or have experienced about it).
Every year Balinese celebrate 'Nyepi' (Silence Day), the Balinese New Year's Day. Nyepi is a day of silence, reserved for self-reflection, where people stay home and are not allowed to use lights, start fires, work, travel or enjoy entertainment -- even tourists are asked not to leave their hotels. However, the days surrounding Nyepi are anything but silent - several rituals of offering and cleansing take place before and after New Year's Day, to rid worshipers of past evils and bestow good fortune in the year ahead.

Some people choose to go back to their hometown (Java, or the other province/country), some people choose to just stay at home and some people choose to stay at hotel (this year, i spent my silence day in hotel).

I stayed at Rimba Jimbaran Bali, it's Ayana's sister.
All hotels in Bali usually have Nyepi Package 3N2D with their own prices.
Dinner might not included in some hotels.
So you should eat at hotel's restaurant or you can just eat noodles in your room.

I ate my dinner at To'Ge Restaurant.

so here's my food scoop.

This is (above) Red Snapper with Ricotta Gnocchi and Orange Salad. I love the fact that the ricotta gnocchi tasted like cheese cake but still you can felt the gnocchi. My sister had (below) Malaysian curry. I didn't try cause I don't like the smell of an Indian or Malaysian curry. She said it tasted good and a bit spicy.

This is the famous Thai's papaya salad also known as 'Som Tum'. My cousin who have tasted the real papaya salad in Bangkok said the real papaya salad tasted better, but Rimba's salad was still okay.

My appetizer and it's a compliment from the chef! This is my favourite, Pizza Babi Guling (Suckling Pig Pizza?).
Babi Guling is Balinese Traditional Food.
Pizza Babi Guling also had lawar at the middle. Lawar is Babi guling's bestie, where there is babi guling there is lawar.

In the end, all I could really say is I wish Rimba has their buffet dinner, but dinner at To'Ge was fine. I had a great dish, big portion of it and worth it. Also free flow mineral water.
Other dishes didn't share with you guys are Nasi Goreng "Fried Rice", Fish and Chips.
6 people spent about 90US$. I said you have to visit Rimba for Pizza Babi Guling hahaha especially if you're a tourist.
Thank you for still reading. GOOD NIGHT!

You can find Rimba at
