Food Review : Hakata Ikkousha finally opens in Bali!

KONICHIWA! Happy New Year 2015!
Now I'm in my holiday after exams, and my high school friends who study abroad are on their holidays too, so we set up a little reunion.
The reunion was yesterday and we went to Sushi Tei (Sunset Rd, Bali), but before I went to Sushi Tei, me and my 2 other friends visited Hakata Ikkousha Ramen. They finally opens up in Bali! Their grand opening was at 25th of January and since then Hakata Ikkousha always full and I didn't get a chance to try it cause I don't think I could wait around for about 2 hours or more to get a bowl of ramen (no offense, I've heard many people wait around for a long time for that).

Okay, let's continue to..

"Monsieur Spoon serve French style breakfasts, with viennoiseries, a bagette jam and coffee. There is a selection of gourmet sandwiches including focaccios, brioches, bagels along with organic bread rolls. Plus of course there are some delicious looking patisseries, including chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, eclaire and a choice of coffees. Not a big menu, but this is more a café where you come in, order and eat. There is a small selection of reading matter as well, French and English."

Where to Eat in Bali (Discover Seminyak)

NEXT STOP IS Seminyak!
There are many restaurants here in Seminyak, but these below really catch the heart in mine and I haven't try some of them, but you don't have to worry cause all comments and reviews I've heard are all positive.

    2. Seminyak
  • The Bistrot Vintage Cafe & Lounge
"Bistrot begins the day with gourmet style breakfasts, or brunches at the weekends, with snappy lunches, a tea-time of relaxation and chit chat, and delightfully played out dinners of an evening - food is all about pleasure at Bistrot. The Bar is a glamorous place to dress up, catch up and enjoy a glass or two. Providing the freshest ingredients, always organic when possible, and locally sourced from the cool farms of the Bedugul highlands of northern Bali.
There are some imported meats and ingredients also, which have been delicately sourced to maintain a sustainable thoughtfulness.
Bistrot is delighted and proud to offer you and your guests the following menus, not forgetting the younger members of the family also, who are more than welcome. Do also take the time to peruse the Cocktail and Wine lists, designed to tantalize and entice to make Bistrot experience truly memorable. "

Where to Eat in Bali (Try Sunday Brunch)

Talk about June and July y'all, where people from around the world travel somewhere to spend their holiday. Some might choose to land in Bali.
Already booked beautiful hotel and decided where to shop but still have no idea where to eat?
These below will (hopefully) help you.

  1.  Sunday Brunch at 5 stars Hotel
I think it started last year, from one hotel to another. It's not cheap, yessss it'll cost you a LOT, and yet somehow I think it's kinda worth it haha. Keep this in mind guys, reservations are highly recommended. :D
  • The Cafe at The Mulia
"Featuring a selection of cuisine as wide and varied as the world itself, The Cafe is quickly gaining notoriety as a brunch venue par excellance, with numerous live cooking stations dotted around its spacious interior – each one representing a particular type of cuisine. You’ll find rich and flavoursome curries from India, fluffy pork dumplings and sweet’n’sour delights from China, zesty salads and crispy noodles from Thailand, not to mention the standard western fare of brunch goodies. And that’s before you even get to the Indonesian or Korean favourites. Did I mention there’s a room full of Japanese delicacies also? Oh, and next door there are more dessert options than you can shake a stick at, the centerpiece of which is a huge chocolate fountain, perched above a revolving ice cream container."

Silence Day at Rimba Jimbaran Bali

Sup guys! It's been awhile.
So last week 31st of March, here in Bali celebrated Silence Day (one of you might have heard or have experienced about it).
Every year Balinese celebrate 'Nyepi' (Silence Day), the Balinese New Year's Day. Nyepi is a day of silence, reserved for self-reflection, where people stay home and are not allowed to use lights, start fires, work, travel or enjoy entertainment -- even tourists are asked not to leave their hotels. However, the days surrounding Nyepi are anything but silent - several rituals of offering and cleansing take place before and after New Year's Day, to rid worshipers of past evils and bestow good fortune in the year ahead.
